Was Initially wary of ordering and paying online but everything went smoothly. Ordered an Oven Online on Tuesday 1:30pm received a phone call at 3:30pm from the delivery company advising they would deliver the oven on wednesday by 2:00pm.
Delivered item at 2:15pm Wednesday. FANTASTIC. Would shop again from Streetsmart shopper.

and most of all its very easy to navigate. We bought a new plasma which
was $200 less at Street Smart Shopper than it was at any of the
major retail stores. Good one!

In an attempt to do my bit to save water, I decided to buy a front load washing machine. Friends had done lots of research into this topic and they decided on Electrolux 7kg washer, so this was also my choice. I went online to find the best price and Street Smart Shopper came up tops. I ordered the machine on-line and within about 15 minutes I got a phone call from a courteous man at SSS explaining that the normal courier in my area was on holiday and that I would have to wait until end of April for the machine to be delivered. This was very disappointing for me and the Customer Service rep said he would do what he could to get the machine to me quicker. Within a few hours, he had called back and had organised a courier. I was so pleased.
However, while waiting to hear from him, I decided to visit a local Retravision in Indooroopilly to find out more about the washer and see if it would be easier to get a washer directly. I wandered into this store, looking lost, and made my way to where I thought the washing machines were. No-one approached me to ask me whether I needed assistance and it was not until a woman from her desk yelled at me about whether I wanted help, did I get any attention. She explained that the Electrolux is very popular and that they were out of stock. I had to ask her when the stock would come in and she told me 10 days. I also had to ask how much they cost and she said they were on special ie $100 off the normal retail price. There was not attempt to offer information or engage in a sale. The price she mentioned was still $100 more than the price via SSS. Clearly Retravision is doing so well that they don't need to help customers make a buying decision. This was further borne out when I went to the TV section to look for a TV stand and, again, none of the numerous staff noticed nor offered to help in what would have been a really easy sale to me.
So, my findings in this situation is that I got more personal, interested, creative service from an on-line company than from a retailer. My suggestion - do not hesitate to buy from SSS. They offer the best service (and prices). Simply - they really seem to care. I ordered my machine on Tuesday and it is now Thursday and my first load is being washed. How's that for brilliant service. Thank you.
